Halloween Already!? YUP!

Bobbi Halloween!

The big day is still weeks away, but everywhere I turn it already sorta looks like Halloween! I’m not complaining; this is one of my favorite holidays and I’m positively eeeeekstatic about it! And though I know in a way I’m being suckered into buying more stuff, I figure if the stores can start promoting their scary wares so early, why shouldn’t we actually enjoy Halloween all month long?

So, I’ve filled the candy bowl on my desk with some festive goodies, I’ve hung the fake cobwebs around my desk and, as you can see, I’ve added some bat-tastic decor to my computer. I’ve also not only picked out, but I’ve put on my Halloween costume… pretty “corny,” huh? (Tee hee!)

And, of course, once I’d dressed up myself and my space, I found myself spookily inspired! So, I’ve also been hard at work with the rest of our frighteningly fantastic team coming up with some fun, new Halloween eCards to share this holiday. We’ve already added them to the site, so you can start sending them out now or just use the Calendar feature put them in your scheduling queue to go out on promptly on October 31. More >

Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon

Today is the first day of October, which means it is now officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s time to THINK PINK!

Maybe you know someone who’s had or has breast cancer. Maybe you yourself are a survivor. Maybe you’ve been blessed enough not to have any personal experience at all with it. Still, somehow, this disease touches us all – young, old, women, men – because it affects the world we all live in.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the most recent statistics available site that in 2006 In 191,410 women were diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,820 women died from it.

I’m not trying to be a downer. I was just really disturbed when I saw those numbers. I started thinking, “What am I doing to make a difference?” More >

Attention Coffee Fiends

CoffeeHello. My name is Bobbi… and I’m a coffee addict.

Well, okay, I’m not nearly as bad as some people I know who sustain a constant caffeine high throughout the day. And I’m not like my friend Matt, who fancies himself a coffee connoisseur. I actually think I see a tear in his eye every time I add sugar or milk to his high-end, self-ground, lovingly brewed java.

But ultimately it doesn’t matter whether you’re a fan of instant or a bean elitist. If you’re anything like me, you just consider today a super-fantastic-great day because, regardless

of cost or quality, all those cups of tasty hot joe we down will be in honor of National Coffee Day! More >

Feelin’ Good in the ‘Hood

Pen Pal Thank YouThere I was, in the passenger seat of my friend’s car, stuck in traffic Sunday afternoon trying to get home. That’s when it hit me… I really had to go to the bathroom!

It’s an awful feeling, not being sure if you’re gonna make it or if you’re gonna be the butt of a bad joke for the rest of your natural-born life. Thankfully, we made it to my place without incident, only to find that I had NO IDEA where my keys could be! More >

Autumn has Fallen

Autumn FlavorsSummer is officially over, my friends! And like the card says, it’s time for “cool climes.”

That means it’s time to store the air conditioners and flip on the fans; store the shorts and slip on the sweaters! Or, in my case, super-comfy hoodie sweatshirts! And though I’m not, generally speaking, a fan of wearing shoes, I do love a pair of thick fuzzy socks!

Ahhh, autumn! I absolutely love this season! For me, fall is really all about two things. More >
