From the mouths of babes

CoffeeIn a season when so many people are out sick, here’s the good kind of viral!

A video has been making the rounds on Facebook for the last week or two that just has us cracking up here at MyFunCards HQ! A very, very, very young feminist is filmed by her sister talking about her views on marriage and her future career.

Where do kids get this kind of stuff? Is it TV? Is it the parents? It almost doesn’t matter. Needless to say, it’s absolutely adorable. You go (little) girl!

The things kids say, right?! Well, it reminds us of our own Kid Talk eCards. So sweetly evil!

It also makes us wonder: What are some outrageously lovable things your kids have said to you? Share in our comments below!

Hugs!

P.S. Awwwwww…

Spread the good words – Black History Month

Black HistoryFebruary, as you may know, is designated as Black History Month.

We at MyFunCards honor some of our greatest American icons, men and women who, often against incredible odds, have left an indelible mark on who we are as a nation.

We’ve barely scratched the surface, but we’re happy to share inspirational words from the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr., Maya Angelou and Rosa Parks in our Black History collection.

We encourage you to pass their messages along, either by email or by posting to Facebook.

Hugs!

P.S. Say it loud!

Printable Valentine’s Sheets

Printable ValentinesWith so much of the focus of Valentine’s Day being spent on Cupid’s arrow, soul mates and romantic gestures, it’s too easy to forget all of the other aspects of this day of sweetness.

Think back. Remember decorating your shoebox to make it a one-day mailbox? Remember secretly making sure your crush got the best card, but without coming on too strong? Kids all over will soon be going through the same adorable agony. That’s why we’ve tried to make it a little more fun for them and easier on you by creating some original, simply lovable Printable Valentines.

We’ve made four separate sheets with four distinct styles, each with three different designs on them for variety. All you have to do is load some paper and hit print. Once you’ve cut them out and the kids have filled in the names, there are tons of ways that they can personalize them even further. Get them a little glitter, ribbons, buttons, markers or whatever their imaginations can come up with to truly make the cards their own. You could even get some Avery label paper and print these valentines as stickers!

These cards are also just right for you to give to coworkers. Bake some tasty cupcakes or brownies, or just get some heart-shaped lollipops. Add these cute cards and deliver. You’re sure to be the office sweetie!

Hugs!

P.S. U’LL RULE!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday

Super CardHuddle up, MyFunCards Friends!

Football fever is running high all over the USA today. Jerseys are being donned and copious amounts of beers and nachos are being consumed. Even if you’re not a football fan, there’s just no getting around the fact that today is Superbowl Sunday!

It’s no Christmas and it’s no Valentine’s Day, but that’s no reason not to take a moment to send a fun eCard to the sports fans in your life. After all, those who are really into the game are likely to be a little aggressive about their fan-dom. So, click the card above and send it along, claiming that you’re rooting for the opposite team.

For those of you who do enjoy seeing a smooth, long pass or an epic, dodgy run, enjoy the big event.

As for me, this year I can honestly wish the best of luck to fans of both the Steelers and the Packers. None of my faves made it this far (Colts, Giants) and none of my anti-faves made it this far (Cowboys, Patriots). Heck, I’m not even all that impressed with the Black-Eyed Peas as a halftime act. So, I’ve really got no one to root for or against, necessarily.

In short, may the best team win (as long as it’s yours).

Hugs!

P.S. Touchdown!
